We would like to apologize for all of the chaos that ensues in Season 3 of Stranger Things. Things, for lack of a better word, were all right in the small, yet resilient town of Hawkins, Indiana at the close of 1984. That's until someone at Burger King flipped this very Whopper upside down in the summer of 1985. In this moment, demagorgen, mindflayer, and demons of undiscovered horror were unleashed from The Void, pulsing the Upside Down back to life to terrorize the townspeople yet again. Damn metaphysics.
That’s why since 1986, the Burger King employee handbook has mandated that all Whopper sandwiches be served right-side up, and the Upside Down Whopper was only served for a limited time at 11 restaurants.
